BSNC has worked with Alaska Industrial Hardware (AIH) management to institute a discount for BSNC shareholders. Shareholders are entitled to the highest discount given by AIH to any Alaska Native corporation. The discount is not a flat rate discount but varies depending on the item(s) purchased. Please present a shareholder ID card at checkout. Learn more about AIH at aih.com.

BSNC maintains a shareholder Campsite Program, which allows shareholders to select a campsite along the Kougarok Road. The shareholder must construct a habitable dwelling within one year of the application’s approval and the campsite must be used on a regular basis. Most campsites measure 200 feet by 200 feet. BSNC does not issue title for the land to the applicant and no commercial operations are allowed on campsites. Certain restrictions and requirements apply. Applications must be filed in person at the BSNC Land and Resource Department in Nome. Learn more at beringstraits.com/our-lands.
BSNC offers a special shareholder rate for gravel. We provide up to 1,000 cubic yards of gravel (dredge tailings) at the following rates:
· $100 per end dump load
· $150 per side dump load
Crushed or screened aggregate is extra, and additional charges apply for areas outside Nome city limits. This offer does not include spreading or compacting services. The gravel must be used for properties owned and used by the shareholder, and it cannot be used for commercial properties.
Communities Outside of Nome:
For other communities in the Bering Strait region, we offer up to 2,500 cubic yards of material per year, provided BSNC owns the subsurface estate. If the village corporation owns the surface estate, they must agree to provide access to the material source. This program aims to help communities with matching funding requirements and to facilitate additional development areas. For more information, please email lands@beringstraits.com.
BSNC is pleased to provide a 40% discount exclusively for BSNC shareholders and descendants on vehicle rentals from the Aurora. For vehicle rentals, visit our rental office in Nome or call us at (907) 443-3838 and mention your BSNC shareholder or descendant status.
Shareholders and descendants must hold a valid driver’s license, be 25 years of age or older, and be the original driver of the vehicle they rent. BSNC descendants must be registered in the BSNC Descendant Registry to qualify for the discounts. Learn how to register as a descendant at beringstraits.com/descendants.
