
The 2026 BSNC Culture & Career Camp will take place July 20–23, 2026, at Pilgrim Hot Springs (PHS), located outside of Nome, Alaska. This four-day camp brings youth and community members together to learn, practice, and celebrate the cultural traditions of the Bering Strait region. Set in the historic and natural environment of Pilgrim Hot Springs, the camp provides a unique setting for hands-on learning grounded in culture, land, and history.
Participants will engage with Elders and cultural teachers, learn about the history and environment of Pilgrim Hot Springs, and develop practical cultural skills that can be carried into daily life and shared within their communities. Activities include harvesting, language learning, traditional song and dance, and other cultural practices.
The camp also offers young adults an opportunity to explore career pathways while building meaningful connections with peers, mentors, and community leaders. By blending cultural learning with career exploration, participants will gain valuable knowledge, confidence, and a stronger sense of identity and direction.
This young adult camp is open to BSNC shareholders and descendants who are 18+. Priority will be given to applicants ages 19-26.
