BSNC Welcomes Gloria Ann Karmun as New Board Director

BSNC is pleased to announce the election of shareholder Gloria Ann Karmun to the Board of Directors. Karmun is a resident of Nome, Alaska. She is a shareholder of Sitnasuak Native Corporation (SNC) and a proud tribal member of Nome Eskimo Community.

Karmun has held several key positions, including part-time Typesetter for the Nome Nugget Newspaper, Tribal Housing Director for Kawerak, Inc., and former Office Assistant for the Department of Public Safety, Alaska State Troopers. She also serves as Board Chair of SNC, Trustee Chair of the SNC Trust, and Board Member/Treasurer of the Nome Church of the Nazarene.

Karmun is the daughter of the late Dan and Ethel Karmun. Her significant other is Perry Olanna. Her two children are Laraine Rose Olanna and Daniel Glenn Olanna.

We look forward to Karmun’s contributions to the BSNC Board and her continued dedication to the people of the Bering Strait region.
