The Kingikmiut Dance Festival, which returned in 2023 after a hiatus due to the pandemic will take place August 30th, 31st, and September 1st.  Since its establishment in1999, and prior to the pandemic the festival has been held at least yearly in the community of Wales. The festival is a testament to the enduring traditions passed down from Elders to the younger generations. Through dance and song, the festival ensures that the culture and heritage of Our People thrives, fostering a deep sense of community and continuity.
