BSNC is pleased to announce a series of promotions its shareholder and descendant employees have recently earned. BSNC congratulates Danielle Anagick, Lisa Anaya, Charlotte Flynn, Dena Okitkon, Nicole Otton and Alexis Walkins on their promotions in their respective departments.
Danielle Anagick
Shareholder Danielle Anagick was promoted to Enrollment Specialist! In this role, Anagick will review enrollment applications and supporting documentation, and manage the receipt and routing of personal information updates. She will also support the Enrollment Manager by helping train new Enrollment Specialists on procedures, eligibility, lineage verification, documentation standards, and enrollment systems, while providing guidance and ensuring consistent, accurate processes across the team.
Outside of work, Anagick enjoys spending time with her three young children, who bring great joy and purpose to her life. Together, they enjoy swimming, scenic drives, and exploring the outdoors through hiking, camping, and fishing. She also values keeping them involved in activities that build important life skills.
Anagick is grateful to be part of BSNC, where she can contribute to the communities of Our People. She takes pride in sharing the services BSNC provides to the Bering Strait region and remains committed to supporting those communities.
Lisa Anaya
Shareholder Lisa Anaya has been promoted to Compliance Specialist! In this role, Anaya will assist with the implementation and maintenance of the corporation’s Compliance Program to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and contractual requirements. She will also support the Chief Compliance Officer and company leadership with compliance initiatives including process documentation, internal audits, data collection for reporting, and other program needs.
Anaya recently celebrated 10 years of service with BSNC. During her tenure, she led the implementation of BSNC’s Records Information Management Program, an important achievement that strengthened the corporation’s information governance.
Anaya holds a degree in Business Administration and is a certified Records Specialist. Outside of work, she enjoys caring for her family and creating a home filled with love, peace, and belonging. She also loves camping, berry picking, hiking, and painting.
Anaya shares that she is honored to serve the corporation she belongs to and strives to make her elders proud by contributing to BSNC’s continued success.
Charlotte Flynn
Shareholder Charlotte Flynn will now serve as Enrollment Technician! In this role, Flynn is responsible for processing shareholder enrollment applications, conducting eligibility reviews, and supporting applicants throughout the enrollment process. She helps ensure the integrity of enrollment and shareholder records by carefully reviewing applications, lineage documentation, and related records in accordance with BSNC policies and the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA).
Flynn graduated in December 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Communication and a minor in Alaska Native Studies. In her free time, she enjoys being active outdoors, whether set-netting in Nanek or walking with her dog. She also loves traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Dena Okitkon
Shareholder Dena Okitkon has been promoted to Shareholder Development Specialist II. In her new role, Okitkon will support administration of the Beringia Settlement Trust (BST) scholarship program and the Shareholder-Owned Business Registry, maintain and verify shareholder and descendant records, and provide timely information on employment, training, education, and benefits through BSNC and BST.
Outside of work, Okitkon enjoys time with family, subsistence activities, making traditional Native foods, car and snowmachine rides, and traveling. She is also excited to soon welcome her grandson. Okitkon loves working for Our People and being able to provide information on the different opportunities BSNC has to offer.
Nicole Otton
Shareholder Nicole Otton was promoted to Billing Specialist II. Otton has valuable experience from her time with the Native Village of Koyuk and holds an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Outside of work, she enjoys Door-Dashing around Anchorage with her boys and sister; her son fondly calls it “work”.
When asked what she enjoys most about working at BSNC, Otton shared that it’s the team and people she works with.
Alexis Walkins
Shareholder Alexis Walkins was promoted to Assistant Payroll Manager! In her new role, Walkins will continue overseeing the day-to-day processing of payroll while assisting with audits and tax-related responsibilities as needed.
Walkins has been with BSNC for 12 years, gaining valuable hands-on experience and expanding her expertise in payroll and accounting. She has earned her Fundamental Payroll Certification, holds a Computerized Accounting certificate, and is currently working toward becoming a Certified Payroll Professional.
Outside of work, Walkins enjoys bowling with her husband, cheering on her 17-year-old daughter at the racetrack, and spending time at home with her 3-year-old son and their dogs.
