BSNC extends our deepest gratitude to Charles “Chuck” Fagerstrom of Nome for his many years of dedicated service and leadership on the Board of Directors. Fagerstrom helped lay the foundation of BSNC as one of its original incorporators when the Articles of Incorporation were signed on June 17, 1972. He went on to serve on BSNC’s interim board in 1972 and as a director from 1974 to 1976, returning to the Board in 2016.
Throughout his tenure, Fagerstrom also served as a Trustee of the Beringia Settlement Trust, a director of BSNC Commercial Services, LLC and BSNC Regional Services, as BSNC’s representative to Unaatuq, LLC, and on multiple Board committees. Beyond his service to BSNC, Fagerstrom has demonstrated unwavering dedication to both the Nome Volunteer Fire Department and the residents of Nome, where he has served as a volunteer firefighter since 1966.
Fagerstrom’s decades of dedication, wisdom, and leadership have left a lasting legacy at BSNC. His lifelong commitment to the advancement of Our People and preservation of our region’s strength and values continues to inspire all who serve after him.
Quyaana, Chuck, for your extraordinary service and for helping lay the very foundation of BSNC.
