BSNC is pleased to announce three shareholder promotions: Lucille Sands was promoted to Senior Vice President of Regional and Shareholder Services, Haven Harris was promoted to Senior Vice President of Growth and Strategy and Roy Craft was promoted to General Manager.
Sands has been employed by BSNC for many years, and has worked across many departments, which enhances her ability to assist management in meeting our commitment to shareholders and descendants. Sands previously served as Vice President of Shareholder Development.
She earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Western Governor’s University, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Minor in Alaska Native Business Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage and an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Sands was appointed by Governor Dunleavy to the State of Alaska Workforce Investment Board. She spent her childhood in Teller and Nome before moving to Anchorage and is an enrolled member of the Native Village of Teller.
Harris first began working for BSNC in 2008. He has 16 years of government contracting and business development experience. Prior to rejoining BSNC in 2021, Harris served as Vice President of Business Development for St. George Tanaq Corporation. He formerly served on the boards of the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation and Sitnasuak Native Corporation and currently serves on the boards of the Alaska Native Heritage Center and the Alaska Community Foundation.
Harris earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Harris was born and raised in Nome and is an enrolled tribal member of the Nome Eskimo Community.
Craft began working at BSNC in 2009 as an Accounting Intern and was hired full time as a General Ledger Accountant in 2010. In 2016, he moved over to the Operations department as the Operations Analyst. In 2018, he was promoted to Operations Manager where he oversaw many of BSNC’s IT and Logistics projects. Craft holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Born in Nome, Craft has lived across various regions of Alaska, including Nome, Unalakleet, Valdez, Fairbanks, Soldotna and Anchorage. He is the son of Esther and Joel Craft Sr., and the grandson of the late Catherine and Roy Tobuk Sr. of Nome. Currently, he resides in Goodyear, Arizona with his wife and three children.
