BSNC is proud to announce a $100,000 contribution to the University of Alaska Foundation to support the launch of the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) Acceleration Academy in Nome, anticipated to begin during the 2025–2026 school year. ANSEP is a nationally recognized program that empowers students by providing early access to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.
Through ANSEP, students earn college credits, gain hands-on experience, and build a strong foundation for future careers in STEM fields—all before graduating from high school. The Nome ANSEP Academy will follow the proven model successfully implemented in Anchorage, the Mat-Su, Kotzebue and Bethel. Participation is free of charge to families, though students must pass a college entrance exam to qualify.
This investment reflects BSNC’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and fostering long-term success for Our People
