Please welcome BSNC’s 2024 interns! This group of 15 is the largest BSNC’s had so far, including Shane Agnaboogok, Nathaniel Appoloni, Jorden Barnhill, Joseph Butzke, Aiyana Campbell, Kyle Collins, Jessica Davis, Brady Dickens, Avery Hansell, Reece Ivanoff, Adria Lawrence, Page Miller, Isaiah Nayokpuk, Luke Polito and Taylor Tiulana.

 

Shane Angnaboogok

I am Shane Angnaboogok, my Inupiaq name is Kokituk, I was born and raised in Fairbanks, but I’m originally from Shishmaref and Wales. My dad is Dallas Ningealook from Shishmaref, and my mom is Vernae Angnaboogok from Wales. My grandparents are Daniel and Evelyn Olanna from Shishmaref, and my grandma is Edith Pinson from Wales. I am currently attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) to pursue my bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and economics. After graduating, my goal is to become an employee here at BSNC. I am a huge basketball fanatic and enjoy playing with my friends and family. I am a returning intern in the Operations department.

 

 

 

Jorden Barnhill

Hello, my name is Jorden Barnhill. My Inupiaq name is Uvlugiaq which means “star.” I was born and raised in Anchorage; my mom is Leslie Ladegard from White Mountain. My maternal grandmother is Joleen (Kowchee) Fagundes, also from White Mountain. I am currently attending the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music. I love to sing, read and knit whenever I have time. This summer, I am interning in the Media and Communications department.

 

 

 

 

Aiyana Campbell

My name is Aiyana Campbell. I was born and raised here in Anchorage. My grandpa, Ben Snowball, was born and raised in Stebbins. I’m currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at UAA. I received my Seal of Biliteracy for the Spanish language along with my high school diploma in 2022. I am interning in the Shareholder Development department.

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica Davis

My name is Jessica Davis. I grew up in Sitka but my family is from Unalakleet. My parents are Jack and Jennifer Davis, and my grandparents are Chuck and Virginia Degnan. I received my bachelor’s degree in accounting and my master’s in information systems. I am interning in the Accounting department.

 

 

 

 

 

Avrey Hansell

My name is Avrey Hansell, and I am Inupiaq and Yup’ik. My Inupiaq name is Quipuq and I was born and raised here in Anchorage. My family comes from Shaktoolik. My parents are Jeffrey and Ann Hansell. My grandparents on my dad’s side are Sue and Jerry Hansell and my grandparents from my mom’s side are Kipi and Paul Asicksik, Sr. I am currently attending UAF for a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. My goal is to gain as much work experience as I can so I can work for an Alaska Native owned organization to the best of my ability. As an Alaska Native, I want to give back to the community that has supported me so much. This summer I will be interning in project controls.

 

 

 

Adria Lawrence

My name is Adria Lawrence. Nome, Alaska is the town where I was raised. I am Inupiat and Yup’ik. I am currently studying Biomedical Engineering at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and am excited to be interning in the Contracts department here in Anchorage. This is my first-year interning for BSNC. The outdoors is beautiful, and it is wonderful spending time with my family hiking, backpacking and blueberry picking.

 

 

 

 

Luke Polito

My name is Luke Polito, I am from Anchorage. My mom’s side of the family is Inupiat, and she was born and raised in Nome. Her name is Marie Polito, and her maiden name is Wassmann. I am currently attending Grand Canyon University, pursuing a bachelor of science in finance. I plan on finding work in Alaska once I am completed. Some of my hobbies include fishing, hunting, playing/watching sports and exercising. I am on Dena ‘Ina land. I am interning in the Proposals department.

 

 

 

 

 

Paige Miller

My name is Paige Miller, and my family is from Nome. My parents are Jason and Amy Miller, and my grandparents are Richard and Angela Miller. I graduated and earned my high school diploma this year from Service High School here in Anchorage. This fall, I will be attending Centralia College on a Volleyball scholarship, and will be studying Business Administration with a concentration in HR management.

 

 

 

 

 

My name is Nathaniel Appolloni. My Inupiaq name is Tiulana. My mom is Gina Appolloni, my uncle is Victor Appolloni and my grandmother is Eileen Norbert. I am from Nome and my family is from the Bering Straits region and Anchorage. I am currently going to UAF for a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a minor in Mathematics. I will be graduating this fall and am excited for what is to come afterwards. I was previously working with BSNC in the IT department, just shy of two years ago. I am interning in IT and am grateful that I have the opportunity to work with the team again, Quyana!

 

 

 

 

Joseph Butzke

My name is Joseph Butzke and I was born and raised in Anchorage. My father is Jonathan Butzke, and my grandmother is Frances Longley; she later changed her name to Butzke. My family is from Nome, and I am a member of Nome Eskimo Community. I am currently attending Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona and studying Psychology and General Business. I have a seal of biliteracy in Japanese and am interested in learning more about the Inupiaq language. Currently, I am interning in the HR department.

 

 

 

 

 

Kyle Collins

My name is Kyle Collins, I am from Anchorage. My mom is Marie Polito and my grandparents are Wendall Wassmann and Suzanne Fagerstrom from Nome. I am currently attending school at Grand Canyon University where I am working toward earning a degree in software engineering. I plan on commissioning into the military once I am completed. I am on Dena ’ina Land. I am interning in BSNC’s IT department.

 

 

 

 

 

Brady Dickens

Hi, I am Brady Dickens. I was born in Anchorage and raised in Unalakleet, and my Inupiaq name is Niviathluk. My parents are Scott and DeAnn Dickens. I have two siblings named Emily and Jack, my grandparents are Bob and Janice Dickens. I am going to UAF this fall for Digital Arts to one day become an Animator. I am an intern at BSNC in the Media and Communications department.

 

 

 

 

 

Reece Ivanoff

My name is Reece Ivanoff, my Inupiaq name is Kuukaannak. I was born and raised in Anchorage. I graduated from South Anchorage High School. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where I majored in Business Management and played basketball for the Banana Slugs. I then transferred to the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, where I am continuing to study Business Management. I am on track to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business in May 2025. I hope to expand my professional portfolio as well as my professional business experience. I enjoy drawing and weightlifting in my free time and look forward to spending time with my grandparents at their camp in Council during the summer.

 

 

 

 

Isaiah Nayokpuk

My name is Isaiah Nayokpuk. My Inupiaq name is Keok and I was born in Fairbanks and raised here in Anchorage. I am the son of Percy and Sheila Avugiak, grandson of John and Arlene Avugiak and Percy and Inez Nayokpuk. I have family members in the villages of Chefornak and Shishmaref. I am currently attending Alaska Pacific University as a second-year student while studying for my associate degree in business administration. I love coffee as it gives me a boost of energy! Lastly, a dream of mine is to successfully expand my family business to honor my grandfather’s wishes. He meant a lot to me. I look forward to not only satisfying his wishes but also mine as well. I will be interning in the Shareholder Development department.

 

 

 

 

Taylor Tiulana

My name is Taylor Tiulana and my Inupiaq name is Agilena. I was born and raised in Anchorage and my family is from King Island and Huslia. My parents are Charles and Eliza Tiulana, my paternal grandmother is Lillian Tiulana from King Island, and my maternal grandparents are the late George Attla II and Shirley Vent from Huslia. I am currently attending UAF where I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in business administration. I am currently on a scholarship for the Nanook Women’s Basketball team at UAF. This summer I am interning with the AIH Accounting department.
