Ryan’s frustration utilizing a tape measure on a construction job outdoors in cold and windy conditions led him to invent the Ryan Tape Anchor. Ryan drove to Lowes, purchased some materials and ordered a few strong magnets. He then put his invention together and submitted it to InventionHome. In 2017, Ryan applied for and received a utility patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
