BSNC shareholder Jonathan “Jon” Kasgnoc joined BSNC in the summer of 2022 as Recruiting Manager and Compensation Administrator. As a Recruiting Manager, Kasgnoc seeks and recruits candidates for open positions throughout BSNC and its subsidiaries by sourcing and posting job advertisements and working with BSNC’s Applicant Tracking System.
In 2007, Kasgnoc was recruited by the U.S. Marine Corps. Kasgnoc’s time in the military taught him structure and pride of belonging. Most of all, it gave him a belief in himself and to know what he can accomplish. When Kasgnoc was discharged, he joined the healthcare industry as a recruiter for Southcentral Foundation and then the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.
“I served in the Marine Corps for nine years as an Electronic Countermeasures Technician at Cherry Point, NC, with the Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 1,” said Kasgnoc. “I have participated in Operation Enduring Freedom (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) and participated in Operation Unified Protector. Later, I completed a successful tour of Recruiting Duty under the Marine Corps Recruiting Station Portland at Recruiting Sub-Station Salem.”
In addition to sourcing qualified shareholder and descendant applicants for different positions within the company, Kasgnoc also enjoys building and fostering relationships with hiring managers. Kasgnoc encourages shareholders and descendants to sign up for BSNC’s Talent Bank. The Talent Bank allows users to input information on their talent, abilities, skills, work experience, education and other workforce related information into their online MyBSNC profile. BSNC uses this stored talent profile information for targeted outreach.
Kasgnoc is Inupiaq and was born in Nome and raised in Anchorage. His family is originally from King Island. During his off time, he likes fishing and camping with his family and spends a lot of time on the Kenai Peninsula in the summer. During the winter, he tries to do as much ice fishing as possible with his kids.
